Hello Class!
My name is Luis Fernando Murillo Mendoza, originally from Honduras, but now living on Fort Worth, Texas. I’m married with two wonderful and crazy daughters. They are my everyday inspiration. School has become a real challenge, but not impossible because of my civilian job. I work as a Supervisor for a Residencial HVAC contractor. Over there I oversee quality control operations.
I serve in the US Army Reserve as an 88H (Cargo Specialist). I’m a Specialist that soon will become Sergeant. I’m currently pursuing my goal of getting my bachelor in Cyber-Security after finishing my Certificate in Computer Systems and Networks. Soon I want to work on my promotion package and try to get in on the Warrant Officer path in logistics.
I will be completely honest with y’all. I’m very new in all this about computer systems and networks and I can ensure all of you are ahead of me, but don’t be mistaken I will put my best. I just finished my first Network Concept class on Spring, and I really learned and enjoy it. I was afraid at first, but getting more into the information I am getting the logic in how a network works.
I hope I can make the standard in this class and demonstrate to all of you that I am hungry for knowledge. I will give my best because by the end of this year I am getting deploy and I made a promise to my family that his dad will become a professional on the Civilian side.
The real reason I want to achieve my goal is so I can inspire my wife in pursuing an academic degree and demonstrate to her that is never too late to start.
