Your introduction should introduce your topic, as well as entice
your audience.
Thesis statement – This statement articulates the point you’re
asserting; must be a complete sentence and appear at the end of
the introduction.
Body Paragraphs – Support
Topic sentences – Each body paragraph must contain a topic
sentence stating the paragraph’s point. These body paragraphs
are the meat of your paper. Your support must be robust and ripe

with your final commentary on your essay. You can end with a

“Preparing for the Job Interview: Know Thyself” by Katy
Piotrowski
Write a humorous directional process essay on ONE of the
following prompts:
 what not to do in the workplace (how not to impress your
boss, how not to cooperate with co-workers, how not to
get a raise, etc)
 how to get rid of a roommate without committing a crime
 how not to impress a date
Your process must include a minimum of three steps. Be certain
your essay has a clear thesis statement that clearly articulates
the point you’re making. (e.g. Everyone wants to know what to
do to impress a date, but knowing what not to do can be just as
important.)
