This is a short dicussion post about the meeting I attended
I attended Miracles and
Solutions, a Narcotics Anonymous group located on Martin Luther King Blvd. They
also talk about alcoholics anonymous. After speaking with my long-time friend,
who is a member of the group, I was invited to join her for a few meetings. The
session I attended was an open meeting, which allowed me to hear various
stories about personal experiences and transformations—just as I had
anticipated after speaking with my friend. I was deeply engrossed in the
narratives shared, as members discussed their journeys and the steps they took
to overcome their addictions. Miracles and Solutions is a faith-based,
spiritual program that emphasizes the importance of a Higher Power. I really enjoyed the meeting and I would go again.
