These instructions are based on a task we've worked on previously. If you're looking for an answer to the same assignment, you'll need to submit an order on our writers' platform to receive a unique paper that you can confidently present as your own work. Read our "How It Works" page for more information.

Before addressing the Written Response Questions:
1.  In Chapter 5, you will find the descriptors of the needed terms and concepts for this assignment.
Written Response Questions:
2.  In your own words, define punishment and reinforcement.  In other words, how does punishment differ from reinforcement?
3.  Suppose you wanted to use operant conditioning to modify your own behavior, such as exercising more often, eating healthier foods, or cutting back the number of hours you spend watching television, playing video games, or something else.  Identify the behavior you want to change and explain why that was the best behavior to change.
4.  Describe how you might use positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, and negative punishment to accomplish the goal you have in mind. Which of these would be most successful in modifying your behavior? Explain why.
5.  Explain how you would know when you met your goal.  And once you met your goal, can you stop using positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, or negative punishment without going back to old ways?  Explain why or why not.
Your analysis needs to be saved and submitted as Microsoft Word (.docx) or a Wordpad Rich Text Format (.rtf) document. To summarize:
Your paper must be typed, double-spaced, and written in Times New Roman 12 pt. font.
Your paper should have 1-inch margins all around.
Paragraph indents should be no more than 1/2 inch.
If you use a header, use only one line.
Your paper should have a properly formatted cover page.
Your paper must be longer than one page in length in content (1 1/2 to 2 is typically good!).  Name, date, title, work cited are additional and do not count as content.  Also, do not number it, make bullet points, or rewrite the questions.
Your paper should be mostly your own words. If you are using someone else’s words, then you need to use quotes, give credit, and connect it to your message. If you paraphrase someone else’s words, then you need to give credit and connect it to your message. For this paper to be scored, no more than TWO (2) sentences can belong to someone’s published work (quoted or paraphrased).
Be sure to properly CITE ALL SOURCES USED at the end of your paper on its own Reference page.
